The community potluck & environmental talk on the last sunday of each month. this month we are excited to have Once Upon a Watershed  joining us for an all ages, interactive presentation on watershed wellness. as usual, this is an all ages, donation based event.

schedule for the day:

10:00am: extra credit trash scavenge! we will meet in the parking lot of the Ventura River Preserve on rice rd. & walk around the river bottom to play our part in keeping her clean. bring a box or bucket. gloves are welcome, too.

1:30pm: plastic-free community potluck (we have plenty of plates & utensils, but you are welcome to bring your own if you like).

2:30pm: presentation of “what is a watershed” / screening of short film “sea to summit” / exploring the issue of plastics in our watershed / el roblar trash scavenge & sort / Q & A

About Once Upon a Watershed
Once Upon a Watershed provides hands-on watershed education, restoration and discovery to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in the Ventura River Watershed. The program is offered free to 10 public elementary schools in Ojai and Ventura, and the Oak Grove School.
