film screening! awake, a dream from standing rock

satuday night we’ll be screening the powerful new film awake: a dream from standing rock, that recently premiered at the tribeca film festival. some of us were lucky enough to hear the youth runners & chief arvol looking horse & his family when they came through town last fall, & the importance of their story & the legacy of standing rock remains deep & wide.

we are excited to invite you to our first film screening, this sunday at 7:30pm at greater goods: ron fricke’s wordless wonder, baraka. named after a sufi word meaning “breath of life” or “blessing,” the film is both, and remains a powerful reminder of the importance of our relationships to our earthly home, our fellow creatures, & our fellow humans.

rehmannia dean thomas w/ craig eastman

rehmannia dean thomas doesn’t often show his musical side, but greater goods seems to have inspired the kentucky native to come out for a special show of traditional bluegrass and country music. joining him will be fiddle maestro craig eastman.

rise up singing

friday, april 7, 7:00 – 9:00pm-ish
live group singing with piano & guitar accompaniment. bring your rise up singing songbook, a banjo, a mandolin, a hand drum, a friend, family, or just your voice & ears! if there’s a couple songs you’d like to include mention them here in the discussion section & we’ll try to make some copies of them.
